Mount Rainier National Park

Gooseprairie is adjacent to Mt. Rainier National Park. The beautiful and expansive park was established in 1899 and contains over 200,000 acres of land (97% of which is wilderness area). The park includes Mount Rainier (14,410'), an active volcano encased in over 35 square miles of snow and ice. The park contains outstanding examples of old growth forests and subalpine meadows.

There's more information at the National Park Service website for Mt. Rainier.

Melissa reports:
It's considered good luck to see Mount Rainier on your first visit as she is often shy and hides behind her clouds.
